Born in Belvidere, Illinois and growing up in Decorah, Iowa, a strong Norwegian community, Holly developed a good healthy sense of humor which has proven to be one of her strongest assets.
With her mother doing double duty by holding down a full-time position along with raising 5 children, Holly’s solid work ethic was instilled at a very young age. Being the oldest of 5 kids, playing the part of leader was a natural fit.
Her leadership abilities served her well through school and extracurricular activities. Sports were a major influence for Holly while growing up. She enjoys softball, bowling, volleyball, running, canoeing and dancing. All helped teach her a lot about the importance of being a success both individually and as a team.
Holly’s solid work ethic began to pay off as she joined the workforce at the age of 10 doing odd jobs for neighbors. Soon after, babysitting, delivering newspapers, holding a full-time job and filling in part-time at the family business became easy to juggle. Her mother always said “keep going and you’ll be alright”. These words became Holly’s mantra, and one she has followed faithfully since.
Holly started her real estate career as an administrative assistant, then as an occupancy specialist for a management company and has been an administrator for an entire real estate brokerage firm, all while dabbling in the real estate world herself as an investor for the past 12 years. She enjoys all aspects of real estate. From the solid investment structure of the long-term market, to the day-to-day interaction with co-workers, clients, mortgage lenders and title personnel, Holly embraces her real estate career and has been successful every step of the way.
Holly married her husband Bill in 1998 and has 2 beautiful boys. As tradition and values are extremely important to her, spending quality family time is a priority. From taking walks, riding bikes, flying kites and playing in the sandbox to volunteering as treasurer at St. Matthew Community Nursery School and helping in the development of Rochester’s Miracle Field, she is a role model for her family, friends and community.
